Pentecost, June 4

The celebration of Pentecost in the Catholic Church is a great opportunity to renew your “Legionary Promise” (Legio Mariae, p. 90).  Our devotion to the Holy Spirit deepens through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, His Inseparable Spouse.  Pentecost celebrates that intercession through the birth of the Mystical Body of Christ, the Universal Church.  Let us then follow the example of the beloved Apostles and trust in the intercession of her whose heel crushes the head of the serpent by devoutly renewing our promise on this important Solemnity of the Holy Spirit, Our Constantly Abiding Companion.

“… John baptized with water, but before many days, you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 1:5)

Praised be the Holy Spirit!  Alleluia, Alleluia!
